August Monthly Conference Call/ Meeting Minutes

September 8, 2022

Statewide Meeting Minutes-August 9, 2022

• Meeting Start – noon

• People don’t always know what kind of leave types are available to them.  Please reach out to a steward who can help you understand what’s available to you such as interview, inclement weather, bereavement, FLMA, and OFLA.  Oregon Paid Family Leave Act kicks in this September.

• General Council is this weekend.

• Now is the time to let us know if there’s something you want to change in the contract or if there is an issue that you think should be protected by the contract.  We will need to do research, so tell us sooner than later.

• Keep an eye out for an email with a survey about bargaining issues next month.  This helps us know what to fight for, foryou!

• Trial service can only be extended for specific reasons.  Please let us know if you hear of anyone who is having their trial service extended.

• Let us know if you’re having any issues with agency housing.

• Payroll Project Committee – Moving time keeping to workday isn’t looking like it’s going to create many problems.  DAS is doing a much better job at looking at all different types of employees and schedules than they did when they rolled out workday.  Contact Steve Emerson with any questions

• Adjourn
