ODOT Coalition (ODFW specific language)
On June 9th after more than 14 hours of bargaining, the team reached a tentative agreement with management at 4:21 am. They started the day before and continued through the night until everything was agreed.
Short summary of what was agreed upon below.
- Increased uniform allowance for new hires, seasonal and permanent positions.
- Increased vacation roll-over to 50 hours for back-to back seasonal positions.
- Strengthened language around dealing with hostile members of the public.
- Continue CDL Training LOA
Other bargaining updates-Economic (Central Table) updates as of 6/16/23
- Management proposed a package that included COLAs of 5.1% on September 1, 2023, and another 5.1% on September 1, 2024.
- Management continues to propose moving to a biweekly pay schedule, which management claims will help resolve many of the issues related to Workday.
- Management also proposed several improvements to differentials including increasing the Essential Worker Inclement Weather/Hazardous Conditions pay differential to $3 per hour and expanding it to anyone who has to work in person during these events (including ODOT coalition workers)
- Paid leave around inclement weather: Allowing employees to use inclement weather leave for a full day, and eliminating the requirement that essential employees must use leave without pay when unable to get to work.
- Remote work: We are making incremental progress to language temporarily modifying remote work agreements.
There have been other movements on language, still more work ahead.
