It’s time for a ODFW Sub-Local 109/SEIU 503 update. This one is all about 2023 contract bargaining.
Happy Holidays Represented Employees,

In case you missed the call, here's the minutes:
Statewide Meeting Minutes-August 9, 2022
Statewide Monthly Members Conference Call-July 12, 2022
The union difference can be seen when comparing a state with low union membership to states like Oregon, where unions are strong.
Monday, June 6th a meeting was held with John Nees from DAS, Michelle Jones and our SEIU staff rep, Mike Bray to discuss the telework grievance.
Welcome back to the office.
The votes have been finalized. Welcome new Sub-Local 109 Leaders! They start their position May 1st.
What's the latest from your union.
SEIU 503 ODFW Sub-Local 109 is a democratic, member-run union. Every two years, members elect leaders such as President, Vice President and Chief Steward.
Qualified represented staff (see below) can now be reimbursed with a one time payment of up to $50.00 to purchase KN95 masks until we hit our allocated budget. A $50 reimbursement should equate to around 25 masks.
Announcements, Telework Grievance, Local 109 Elections, CDL Committee
Would you like to continue teleworking when the offices re-open to public?
Check your November 1 or 15 pay stub. If you couldn’t work remotely (see qualifications below) during March 2020-June 2021, you should have received your onetime hazard payment.
As many of you know, DAS inadvertently sent the vaccination status of 40,000 executive branch employees to two media outlets.
Here's what we discussed at the September Membership Conference call. Hope you can join the next call on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from Noon-1PM. Watch for an email invite in your state email inbox.
This is a challenging time for State workers across Oregon. Regardless of vaccination status, workers are concerned about what the vaccine mandate will mean for them and their families.
Thank you for everyone who joined our statewide call. We had members from the Springfield Office, Salem HQ, Astoria, and Gnat Creek Hatchery. These meetings are always on the second Tuesday each month from noon-1PM. Be on the lookout for how to join them and agenda in your state email box on the Friday or Monday before the meetings.
We’re thrilled to share that as of July 16th, the contract was settled with big victories for State Workers! See highlights below.
Your ODFW and other Coalition Agencies (ODOT, Parks, Foresty, DMV, Agriculture, Geology) delegates have ended bargaining with Management. Below are some highlights that are specific to ODFW.
The ODFW Labor Management Committee meets quarterly throughout the year and for additional meetings on an as needed basis. A member may suggest a topic for a meeting by contacting any of the committee members.
It is imperative that you read and understand these policies.
