First lets give a big thank you to the member elected Bargaining Delegates that volunteered many hours meeting with management, writing proposals, and gathering the information needed to negotiate.
Your ODFW and other Coalition Agencies (ODOT, Parks, Foresty, DMV, Agriculture, Geology) delegates have ended bargaining with Management. Below are some highlights that are specific to ODFW.
- Improve training and safety for CDL drivers at ODFW.
- Improve tenant’s rights and maintenance at agency-provided housing for ODFW employees.
- Make scheduling rules for ODFW’s Ocean Salmon and Columbia River Program permanent in the contract.
- Include $100 reimbursement for CDL certificate when testing is completed through a third-party examiner.
Economic proposals or things that affect all SEIU 503 represented agencies are still being negotiated. Your member-elected bargaining team is working hard to win significant COLAs for everyone, as well as Essential Work Pay/Hero Pay/Pandemic Recognition Pay for the non-telecommuting hours that State employees have worked since March 2020. We’re getting close to an agreement, stay tuned for updates from SEIU503 in the next week or two.
Solidarity,
Eric Ollerenshaw, Project Biologist/Steward-Clackamas
