Bargaining has started. This is just the beginning of our negotiations, and we have a long way before our contract expires on June 30, 2023.
On February 8, the Central Table Bargaining Delegates (click link for more details from SEIU 503) proposed the following to Management:
- 11% Cost-of-living adjustment effective July 1, 2023
- 9% Cost-of-living adjustment effective July 1, 2024
- No state worker is paid less than $22 an hour by the end of the contract
- State pays our entire health insurance premium
- $1 per hour differential for all in-person work
- Longevity differentials for long-term employees
- Adding Indigenous People’s Day as a paid holiday
- Paid Leave Oregon premium fully paid by the state
- Increasing vacation accruals

On February 9th ODOT Coalition (ODFW has 4 delegates here) met with management. This was a day of introductions, ground rules and opening statement. Management gave proposals for the following ODFW Letter of Agreements (LOA):
- End LOA 00.00.21-406 ODFW CDL Training
- Continue LOA 00.00-19.338 ODFW CDL Reimbursement
- Continue LOA 34.3E-20-387 Standby Duty/On-Call Duty Hatcheries
Next Coalition bargaining meeting is Thursday, February 23. More proposals from both sides will be presented then. Some will wait until March 9th.
We’re looking for stories and photos about ODFW uniforms/protective clothing. Any photos of beat-up/well used items. A Story about how much you spent on shoes/boots/clothing, items necessary to do your job safely that your project or uniform allowance did not pay for. Please send them to odfwunionsteward@gmail.com.
