Deadline for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program is sometime in October, please see the statewide email that was sent out or contact HR or a Steward if you are unable to find it.
Lunches will no longer be provided for statewide membership meetings, this is due to needing the funds for other purposes such as infrastructure and statewide events.
SEIU 503 Ballot due date is September 22nd. Please get them in the mail several days before then.
Next LMC meeting is next Wednesday.
Difficulties finding seasonals to hire for various reasons.
- If you have stories about difficulty of recruiting due to housing or you yourself have had difficulty finding housing in order to accept a seasonal position please reach out to us odfwunionsteward@gmail.com.
We can bring issues of the moment to LMC. If you have one, please reach out and let us know. We will obfuscate the details to keep you anonymous if needed.
Bargaining - Angela gave us a bargaining update.
- We are starting the process of bargaining for our 2023-2025 contract.
- First bargaining conference for bargaining delegates is this weekend. Delegates will get together to begin discussing bargaining proposals.
- A couple of surveys will be coming your way, please fill them out!
- One will be from SEIU503, another will be from us specific to our sub-local (ODFW 109)
- SEIU503 will be sending out a second survey later on based on the responses to the first survey.
- Let us know what you want changed or we won’t know what to fight for.
- Your participation is important in the bargaining process. We need stories from employees regarding our bargaining topics as a sort of evidence for why we want the contract changes.
Workday Timekeeping
- Test to see if we can edit leave request. If it won’t let us, need to ask about this at next payroll LMC.
- Demos are in Workday learning module – look them up and watch them. Send questions to Steve, steven.c.emerson@odfw.oregon.gov to ask at next Payroll LMC meeting.
- Training on this process will be available, request work time to take these trainings so that you are comfortable with it.
